It's Almost Here

On Saturday I will be LOVIN' Life...listening to Carrie Underwood and then followed by some seriously amazing fireworks! I can't wait...Tyler is SUPER excited too...not because he likes Carrie Underwood's music though...he just has the hots for her. He will be one of many drooling men on Saturday Night!

Happy Birthday Mom!

It is my mom's 40 somethinth' birthday today!
I think she'd kill me if I posted her exact age...
I'm not sure why, cuz she doesn't look a day past 20!

Lookin' Young As Ever w/ her Strawberry Shortcake Party Hat on!

Bird Terd.

I really don't like BIRDS.
I washed my car less than 48 hours ago, I avoid parking under trees.
And already there is birds have made my car their target.
It is looking an awful lot like the picture above.
(ok, maybe I exaggerate just a little a lot. but you get my point.)

2 years ago I was working in Salt Lake and was out to lunch. I was at a drive up window and had my car window rolled down, next thing you know brown bird poo was splattered across my windshield and then I turn and look and its on the INTERIOR of my car. I was so grossed out, I was freaking out. I was paranoid that some maybe landed on my arm. I kept inspecting it, thankfully I never found any. But it was on my door handle and a little on my steering wheel too. How disgusting is that? I am paranoid that this incident will happen again.

Needless to say the birds are on my $!@% list!
...and apparently my car is on theirs.

and I sure hope, I am NEVER in the position of this little boy.

Manti Miracle Pageant

Last week I got this great idea, that it would be so fun to go to the Manti Pageant.
It's something we've never done and its FREE! and we're poor, so FREE is always good!
Well as they SAY nothing is ever free...and boy, is it true! Sure there is the gas money, but that was expected and not too big of a deal.

Care to know how much my FUN idea costed Tyler?

$120.

Why?

It's called a speeding ticket.
Neither of us think he should have gotten it.
It was kind of a joke, but luckily it didn't ruin our night.
We still had lots of fun walking around Manti. We ate dinner there and later got a yummy Gelati (not to be confused with Gelato) to share.
We tried to buy allergy medicine for Tyler because his allergies started to get bad, but do you think the Manti grocery store stays open past 8?

The Pageant was really great. A lot less cheesy than I remember it being & we had a good time.
And took cute pictures while we were at it.

please pretend I posted this yesterday.

I know this is a day late, but I was So Busy Celebrating Father's Day I didn't get a chance to post so here it is:

Happy Father's Day to the GREATEST dad around.
There is no sense in arguing with me, you know as well as I do...
it's MY DAD.
Yep this CRAZY guy.

My dad is always great for a good laugh, and can be quite the character sometimes.
He's always supported me in everything I've done. & especially my dancing.
He even has learned some great moves of his own over the years; Toe Rises, Stalls, You name it!
He is great to come and go to lunch with me whenever I am at work & give him a call.
I also got my stunning good looks from him, everyone tells me I look just like him.
I've even been asked a few times, without my dad around if I am his daughter by people I didn't even know.
Love you Dad!

...and also Happy Father's Day my AMAZING grandpa.
My Grandpa is so supportive of me and everything I'm involved in.
He's also a very hip grandpa. Not only can he text & send picture messages, but he is speedy when he responds. He also keeps up with the world with facebook. I don't know of many people who have grandpa's who can do that!
Love you Grumpy!

...and to the grandfather, who was greatly missed this father's day!
I don't know of any other men with quite the attitude that you have & all that optimism.
You were always smiling & always happy to see  us!
You were even daring enough, KNOWING you get motion sickness VERY easily and still rode on Tower of Terror with us...and we loved you for it.
WE STILL LOVE YOU FOR IT.
Happy Father's Day, I'm sure it is a good one, because you're in a better place & you get to celebrate with Grandma.
Love you.

things are not as they appear. i promise!

Notice anything wrong with this photo?
it's driving me nuts. i have tried to edit the problem out but it only makes it worse.

In case you haven't found it yet  (and let's face it! it's impossible not to since its massive) look at my forehead.
yep. pretty much looks like i smeared orange all over my face and missed a spot.
gross. i know.
but I promise, the white spot is a shadow. there are several more just like it where the white spot is in different spaces on my face.
I don't know how I didn't notice after taking the picture, but unfortunately i didn't & all I have is this picture to drive me nuts!

Events from the Weekend

My weekend basically rocked.
Tyler and I went to dinner with Mitch & Chels at Costa Vida.
Then we went with them down to Tyler's parents in Santaquin and watched Sherlock Holmes on their projector screen. It was a very good movie I thought. I hadn't seen it yet and although I was exhausted it kept me awake!

Saturday I had work. Yay! ugh... but then as soon as I was off it was Seven Peaks time! woot. woot. It was my first chance to be in the sun this summer and I loved it. I was way worried about getting burned though & caked on the sunscreen, unfortunately it kept me from getting even the slightest tan. This year I bought a season pass though so will have plenty of time for more sun! Seven peaks has a great deal for passes for students so I decided it would be well worth the money to have one. (I'm looking for friends/family to come with me on my days off work...so if you're up for a day at Seven peaks...you should seriously let me know!) After a day in the sun Tyler and I saw Date Night. Date Night [Blu-ray]I was a little disappointed in it, I didn't think it was as funny as the previews had made it up to be, but still a good movie I thought.

Sunday Russ & Misty had us over for dinner, we played Uno, watched the Thunderstorm (love them.), and watched Kung Fu Panda. Tyler & I hadn't seen it and loved it. Probably the best movie of the weekend in my opinion. All in all, I had a pretty great weekend and am already waiting for the next one to be here. The weekend makes the week well worth it. Especially now that it is summer.

And in other news....

Kevin and Page celebrated their one year anniversary Sunday! I can't believe it has already been a year since this.

And my best news of all? It is OFFICIAL my friends. July 22 I will be on my way to the ever-so-fabulous Island of Hawaii. Oahu to be more specific. We booked our flight last week & I can't wait. Time for some new great swim suits & summer clothes I think!

Hawaii is a great excuse to right?

Look Guys! I've Been Reading!

Me reading is a pretty rare thing. I can't say I love to read, but lately I have.  My most current finish is this book. Highly recommend it to anyone to read. I really enjoyed it.

So, aside from it being a really great book, reading has been great lately because it means I am going to bed earlier, because reading seriously makes me so tired, a few pages and I'm out. 3 nights this week I have fallen to sleep before 1 am, which is early for me. Last night...I was out before midnight! I really don't get...or at least feel tired. I sometimes even get in bed and just lay there for hours...cuz I'm not even slightly tired, so reading seems to get me there.

Memorial Weekend

Long weekends are wonderful but never long enough.

Friday: consisted of family bowling. sadly, we took no pictures :( nobody brought a camera.
Nathan and his friend were with us and made it a requirement to dance after each bowl. My moves were lame. Tyler had some great ones when he wasn't too shy to bust them out. Nate and Brady's moves were very funny. They even busted out some Michael.

Saturday: Tyler and I went to a bbq at Chels & Mitch's cute new house. It was lots of fun. We enjoyed their company and appreciated the invite. We watched this movie:

I thought it was pretty good...Tyler on the other hand, slept thru it. So it looks like he is going to have to watch it with me again...haha.

Sunday: Church. Movies. Relaxin. Great dinner. Nice walk. Nice drive. Nice Day.

Monday: Family BBQ with the Bullock's. Visited the Pleasant Grove Cemetary. Dollar Movie to see Bounty Hunter for time #2 & Betos, seemed a good idea at the time but I have one word for it, gross.

My dad cleaning Grandma and Grandpa Schaefer's headstone.

 The finished product.

Me & My Siblings.

And I'm extra special and had one more day work free...since Tuesday's are my day off anyway.

Tuesday: Tyler's mom, Kim, had her dance recital and I went and helped out. Recital turned out fantastic. Here is a little clip of her awesome dancer's at her Lindon & Santaquin studio's gettin ready for the big event.
