Things to Love...Things to Hate.

I'm not sure why but my thoughts lately have been totally in categories lately. Love or Hate...nothing really inbetween so thought I'd share.
....A few of my recent thoughts...
Things I Love.
  • Sleeping in my bed at home. It is so comfy...compared to my twin at my apt...not that my twin is even that bad...but I sure do love my bed at home :)
  • The braces get to come off soon! Its been a LONG summer w/them on.
  • Catching up with one of my besties, Rach! I've missed her lately and finally got to see her last night.
  • When Tyler tells me that he wants to see me...and will be over in a few minutes.
  • When Tyler shows up with treats...even ICE CREAM...FRIED ICE CREAM, yum! Also shows up with the Hannah Montana movie (yeah, I promise I'm not even making this up. He really did!)
  • When I don't believe that he's just doing this stuff to be nice. I thought he was sucking up and there must be a hidden agenda...that or he secretly wants to see the movie and is using me as an excuse, but turns out I was wrong! (fyi this is very out of character of Tyler. This boy refuses most the time to even watch chick flicks...so really? Hannah Montana w/ no asking. You would question his motives too!)
  • Soap...Baby Oil...Slip N Slide...at dark!
  • How good I feel about my car lately...it is seriously old, but living where I am...there is like 5 cars I swear that are newer than mine, but look WAY worse. White car...with a red beat up door...white car with a teal colored door. Yeah. I'm grateful my car is all one color. Also there was this car starting this morning...that looked just fine...but the sound it made when starting was seriously wretched...and backing up, it sounded so bad I thought the entire car was going to fall into pieces. Good thing my car does not make that noise.
  • Going to lunch at Olive Garden with my Mom for soup, salad, and breadsticks.
  • Knowing I only have an hour & a half left at work and then it is the weekend!
  • The fact that school is only a few days away, I used to HATE school but now I sure do love it! Not to say I'm not a little scared because I am. This semester is going to be crazy. I have 16 credits which is kind of a lot, but its not crazy...like the crazies who take 20...or the even craziers like my brother who get "special" approval (the max. is 20 credits) and take 21! 16 is more than enough for me. I thought 12 was kind of a lot. And that was with 3 dance classes on my plate. The other thing I'm nervous about is knowing how much time I actually spend IN class. Seems like my schedule is packed. Because I'm cursed with classes that are not worth many credits...personally I think a few of them deserve to be worth more....so my 16 credits= 7 classes. Thats too many. However, school is still on my list of LOVES!

Things I Hate.

  • Spiders. Found one in my room last night...sitting in the tissue box by my bed...I threw the whole box away...sorry mom. It was a completely full box...but I wasn't risking it...as far as I'm concerned they were ALL violated & contaminated by that spider!
  • When my phone dies at work. Just did this. Guess thats one of the downsides of going home and sleeping there...no phone charger since its at the apt.
  • When there is no close parking spots at Olive Garden...I'm not so much annoyed that there weren't any close ones today, but the fact that NEVER is there close spots. I have more luck finding good ones at crazy places like Walmart than at Olive Garden.
  • Verizon's customer service.
  • Braces...stupid things make me hate smiling and also make me look like I'm what? 13? For Reals!
  • When the dryer decides to stop working...ya 3 hours of drying towels and still soaking wet...wish I would have known that before throwing the HUGE love sac cover in the washing machine. bummer.

It's pretty bad when my thoughts are all blog related. I swear...everything I do now...I'm like, I could so blog about this. How pathetic am I?

A Blonde Moment

So I'm REALLY good at forgetting things...and even BETTER at losing things.
Saturday night, was no exceptions. I did a pretty good job at both.

The day started out with no incidents... work meeting, cleaning, shopping trip with Tyler & Nate & then back to my place to get ready for the REAL Salt Lake game. I should have known that the day was too good to be true.
We left my place in Orem and were to about AF when I realized I didn't have my phone.

Then again, come to think of it...I didn't remember hating it at my apt. so if not in my purse must have left it at Tyler's, since that was the last place I used it.
Oh well. No big deal.

We went to the game and had an ok time. Nobody scored so the game wasn't too exciting, but whatev....Then the trouble began!

We got back to Orem and planned to go to my apartment and watch a movie.

We got back and I realized I had no keys. oh great.

Then I remembered my purse tipped over at the game. I THOUGHT that my sunglasses were the only thing that fell out, but what if my keys fell out too??? That would mean not only am I locked out of my apartment. It also means I'm locked out of my car, oh yeah! and I don't have a phone to call my roommate.

I was so frustrated at this point, not knowingwhere EITHER item was!
Then there is Tyler...just sitting there shaking his head at me. I'm pretty sure he found this whole thing funny. His words exactly... "you'd lose your head Nicole if it wasn't attached."
Funny thing is its probably true. I would lose it.

I set things down anywhere and everywhere and I do it unconsciously and never have the slighest clue or memory where they could be.
Needless to say we gave up on the lost items and figured we'd deal with the lost items LATER
(keep in mind its already after 10) We ventured to Walmart to buy a movie and figured we'd go to Tyler's apartment instead to watch the movie. Which is what we did.
Tyler's apartment ended up being a story of its own...but I will save that for later.
By the time our movie was over it was 1 am and still no keys or phone.

Needless to say we ended up breaking into my apartment. My roommate was there but asleep...Tylers idea: Knock on her window and wake her. My thought: Heck no. That would only scare her.

Even though I'd end up looking stupid for locking my keys inside, that was the result I was hoping for. Otherwise I'd be going home for my extra car key but getting home is a challenge when you don't have a car to drive. So I was hoping hoping hoping they would be there. We called my cell phone too once we were in my apartment and didn't hear it anywhere.
We left to Tyler's to see if my phone and was there. This time leaving the apartment to unlocked so I'd be able to get back in... once again: stupid me! We have spare keys in the apartment I could have taken them.

Phone was NOT at Tyler's so we gave up on the search. I also came up with the solution that my phone was probably in my car (I knew however that my keys were not locked inside because luckily for me, my car doesn't allow me to lock it with them inside)

Time to go back to my apt. and worry about it in the morning. Presenting a challenge cuz no phone and no keys...how would I communicate with people to let them know to come get me? Or bring me my keys? BAH! This night pretty much sucked.

Tyler was tired and not looking forward to driving me back to my place and then turning around to come back to his. So he solved ALL my problems. He gave me his car :)

Yep. That pretty car he LOVES!!! I got to drive her.
It saved him a few trips of driving, and also gave me something to drive home in the morning to get my spare car keys. WONDERFUL!
So I get back to my apartment realizing church is going to be a challenge with NO alarm. (I always just use my cell phone) but oh well. Things will work out in the morning. I go in my closet and am changing and sitting right on the top of my pile of jeans is MY KEYS & MY PHONE!

Not even joking, I looked in my closet like 3 times before and didn't even see them. Wow. I'm Smart. Haha good times. good times. Wasn't all bad. I found out that as blonde as I can be, as stupid as I can be, Ty trusts me with his car :) ...then again he's been pulled over WAY more times than me and has been in more wrecks then I have so I guess in the car category, I'm one up on him.

My goal for this week: to go all week without losing my phone OR my keys...so far I'm doing really well. I'm halfway there. Woot.

It was great.
But I decided...

They got in first.
Complaining how SUPER hot it was.
Too hot.
But I got in.
So not even that hot.
Don't know what they were complaining about.
Couldn't chose better company though :)
Thanks Tyler & Jeff!

A Year Down for "J"

One of my great high school friends Justin hit his year mission mark yesterday! This year has flown by. Feels like yesterday I was sending him cookies to the MTC...sadly those are the only cookies he's gotten from me in the last year!

Us at Justin's "going away" Party

Congrats Justin!

Look forward to seeing you in a year.

...and then there is my Longest Bestest Friend Shantel...

my heart is sad for her. She sent her boyfriend Brandon off on

his mission yesterday. London is super lucky to have him!

...Meanwhile I will have to keep Shan busy for the next two years...

Hopefully it will fly :)
Love you Shan!!!

A Little Luck After All

So my AWESOME cousin bought a boat this summer and he was so nice and invited me out on it. I was excited to go...but all the while wondering...with my boating luck...what would go wrong this time? We got the boat in the lake nice and quick...and then Tay went to start it. Turned the key. Nothing. Turned the key again. Nothing. Checked a few things on the boat. Nothing. There we were floating on the lake...no power. haha. great.
Thank goodness for rope. We pulled ourself to the dock. And Tay jumped off to get cables to charge the battery. Haha turns out this one is not my bad luck...more of a blonde moment for Taylor. Boats gotta be in nuetral :) Glad he had one friend smart enough to notice. The boat was started with no problem and we were off.

Did I lose anything? Nope.
Did I get hurt? Nope.
...but did I go in the water at all? Nope.

My goal for next time?

To actually get wet and NOT injure or lose anything. This would be a great accomplishment. So wish me luck!!!

...and Thanks Tay for the invite! It was fun.

I Heart The Beach

Disneyland Fun.

The Teacups!
This was my favorite ride when I very first went to Disneyland when I was 7.

Pretty much I loved the new Toy Story Ride, not to mention I'm pretty much amazing at it.

Well I think everyone and their dog likes to get there picture by the letter of their name...how cool are we? 3 N's all in one.

Tower of Terror!
Lots of fun....
My mom's face is my favorite :)
Sister Fun

Boaters Luck...or the LACK there of.

So when it comes to boating...I have decided that I am cursed!
This is why...
Everytime I have EVER gone boating...something bad has happened...
Just to name a few....

  • When I go boating...on several occasions it has decided to rain
  • Water has been CRAZY choppy. Not even worth getting in.
  • Boat has broken down.
  • I have gotten goose aches...
  • A black eye...ya from water...who knew???
This year I've gone boating twice thus far...and the list is still continuing
  • My phone went in the lake.
  • Lost a contact.
My mom informed me last Saturday after announcing that I had lost my contact, that she doesn't like me going boating because it is EXPENSIVE...new contacts...new phone...wonder what it is going to be next. However, I'm modifying what I do each time to avooid future accidents. After giving my phone to the lake, it was decided that my phone would no longer be allowed on the boat so I left it in the car. After losing my contact, I have decided that next trip I will not be wearing them on the next outing!
Tyler on the Wakeboard
It was hot and we were thirsty!
(no worries...just soda.)
Nate, Ashlee, and Myself having way too much fun.

Even though my boating trips seem to always come with a price, I still find it to be lots of fun and completely worth it. I always wanna go back :)

Here is to Happiness (inspired by Chels...who was inspired by Rockstar Diaries)

So if any of you are familiar with Rockstar Diaries you are probably familiar with all of Taza's happiness lists she is constantly making...well my best friend Chelsey made her own happiness list so I thought I would do the same...so here it is.

Things that make me happy...

Driving when I have nothing better to do

Family parties

Taking and looking at pictures

Dancing til my body hurts

Butterfly kisses

Dr. Pepper

Talking about Nothing

Running into people I know in the craziest of places

Getting my hair played with

The way Tyler talks to me when I'm tired or upset

Making new friends
