Girls Night.

So I was up VERY late on Friday night...and got several early morning phone calls (coughdavecough) and texts on Saturday morning. Not a great way to start the day...I went shopping and to lunch with my mom and sister for wedding clothes. I FINALLY found a skirt...well still need to exchange it at the store for a better size, but hey...at least I got one. haha. By the time I got home I was beyond exhausted and did not really feel like going out. Its pretty rare for me to be home on the weekends and in all honesty, VERY STRANGE feeling. I had a great night though, Natalie and I spent the night chatting on my very comfy bed and we also watched Bride Wars. Such a fun movie. We did leave the house shortly though, to go get Roxberry Smoothies, because no girls night is complete without smoothies. We had fun...and I even am gonna go to bed at a somewhat reasonable hour! What a day...and completely boyless :)

gardening.

...gardening...
So tonight for FHE my family and I made a trip to get some plants for our garden...it isn't much since when we moved to our house that we are in now my dad made it known that he DID NOT want a garden. So needless to say we didn't make a spot for one. Well after a few years of living here he changed his mind, so for the last few we have been planting our so called garden in spots of our flower beds. Sounds kinda tacky but it works I guess. No one ever really sees our backyard anyway. Last year our garden completely failed due to a crazy windstorm that basically ripped everything out of the ground. The only survivors were a few pumpkins and one of our crook neck squash plants. This year we changed our strategy and moved where our garden is...it now has the fence to help protect it, so we'll see how it goes. We (being my Dad, Mom, Kev, Page, and I) bought crook neck squash, tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, and jalepenos and got them planted. It was suprisingly a lot of fun, unfortunately we couldn't find any zucchini plants so we still need to go get one of those and we will be all set for summer :) We ended our fantastic FHE with Cafe Rio tostadas....YUM!

what a relief.

...What A Relief...
So this week has been rough...I'm physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted and thankful that its the weekend! Everything that could go wrong did...I'm tired, because I haven't slept all week. Its been a slow week at work...so it dragged like no other. I was sick for 2 days, my blow dryer blew up, so bad hair days all around! ...and the list goes on! So just making it to Friday has been quite the accomplishment! I have a fun night ahead of me and couldn't be more relieved...seems like this week has been rough for lots of people.

...its good that i can dance...

One of my great passions in life has been and always has been for dance. I love it. Its a good thing too, because based on my grades last semester I think its safe to say that its the only thing I am doing right. My GPA did not come out too hott...math, health, english? They're overrated...but straight A's across the board in my dance classes haha. Including ballroom...my newest found interest. I took two medal exams and did surprisingly well. I received high honors in my Social Dance Class and honors in my International Class. I was pretty pleased with the results because neither of them were expected. The ballroom director found out that I'm a Dance Education major and even tried to convince me to switch programs, he'd much rather see me majoring in ballroom. But unfortunately that's not happening! I'm staying where I am at.

One Fantabulous Weekend

This past weekend was great. For one, I can actually get blogging again. Our router was having problems and we couldn't get it to work and w/o my laptop blogging simply does not happen because I am way too lazy to use our home computer. Turns out our router had overheated so we went out and bought a new one...oh happy day! Back to my laptop :)

Friday: Tyler and I doubled with my friend, Shantel (who also happens to be Tyler's cousin) and her boyfriend Brandon. We went to the drive in with them and saw Wolverine. I'm NOT an a fan of Xmen, but the movie was surprisingly good I thought and it was so fun to go with Shantel and Brandon. It was our first time doubling with them and we will have to do it again.

Saturday: I unfortunately had to go to work on Saturday morning but was done by noon so it wasn't too bad. I went Mother's Day shopping and then met Tyler at the mall for some shopping. I scored myself to new purses which I am still excited about. I have a big fettish when it comes to purses and bags and I haven't bought any since October, which is in all time record for me. I don't think I will ever go that long again. Tyler didn't buy anything but still managed to drool over some watches, which is his fettish. 45+ Nixons and still wanting more.... After the mall we went and grabbed some ice cream before heading to his mom's dance recital. She owns her own studio and teaches lots of little girls. Her recital was so much fun, I was excited to go and was fun to see. Props to Kim! :) Also props to his cute little niece McCall who danced in the show and his sister Kristin, who did a solo. After the concert we went to Salt Lake and stopped at Nordstrom Rack for more shopping and then headed to The Pie Pizzeria and had some tasty food. We ended the night by watching The Notebook at Ty's house.

Sunday: I got to sleep in! Wahoo for 1 o'clock church. I went to church with my Mom for Mother's Day and went to her Primary class with her. Her class is cute and was entertained by all the Primary kids. She has an autistic boy in her class who spent most of sunday school making shapes with a pipe cleaner and asking her to make a triangle. The rest of the class was making their own Gold Plates, but were a little upset when they realized their plates weren't REAL gold. They discovered they were only cardboard wrapped in gold paper. What a let down...poor little 6 year olds. Such high hopes. In sharing time the bishop came in and talked about baptism. Their answers were very interesting. One kid announced that when you get baptised you go under the water and are NOT allowed to come out. After church we got to give my mom her Mother's Day gifts....I like pictures in case you can't tell.

I love this board, I think its so neat how easy it is to just slide the pictures right in. It makes it so easy to change them. I want one of my own!!!

Sunday we also went and visited my Grandpa Schaefer and my Grandma & Grandpa Clyde for mothers day! I don't see them enough, so it was very fun. After my visit, I went and watched 7 Pounds with the Hunsaker's. I really enjoyed the movie. I love Will Smith! It was sad to see this great weekend end :(
