A Blonde Moment

So I'm REALLY good at forgetting things...and even BETTER at losing things.
Saturday night, was no exceptions. I did a pretty good job at both.

The day started out with no incidents... work meeting, cleaning, shopping trip with Tyler & Nate & then back to my place to get ready for the REAL Salt Lake game. I should have known that the day was too good to be true.
We left my place in Orem and were to about AF when I realized I didn't have my phone.

Then again, come to think of it...I didn't remember hating it at my apt. so if not in my purse must have left it at Tyler's, since that was the last place I used it.
Oh well. No big deal.

We went to the game and had an ok time. Nobody scored so the game wasn't too exciting, but whatev....Then the trouble began!

We got back to Orem and planned to go to my apartment and watch a movie.

We got back and I realized I had no keys. oh great.

Then I remembered my purse tipped over at the game. I THOUGHT that my sunglasses were the only thing that fell out, but what if my keys fell out too??? That would mean not only am I locked out of my apartment. It also means I'm locked out of my car, oh yeah! and I don't have a phone to call my roommate.

I was so frustrated at this point, not knowingwhere EITHER item was!
Then there is Tyler...just sitting there shaking his head at me. I'm pretty sure he found this whole thing funny. His words exactly... "you'd lose your head Nicole if it wasn't attached."
Funny thing is its probably true. I would lose it.

I set things down anywhere and everywhere and I do it unconsciously and never have the slighest clue or memory where they could be.
Needless to say we gave up on the lost items and figured we'd deal with the lost items LATER
(keep in mind its already after 10) We ventured to Walmart to buy a movie and figured we'd go to Tyler's apartment instead to watch the movie. Which is what we did.
Tyler's apartment ended up being a story of its own...but I will save that for later.
By the time our movie was over it was 1 am and still no keys or phone.

Needless to say we ended up breaking into my apartment. My roommate was there but asleep...Tylers idea: Knock on her window and wake her. My thought: Heck no. That would only scare her.

Even though I'd end up looking stupid for locking my keys inside, that was the result I was hoping for. Otherwise I'd be going home for my extra car key but getting home is a challenge when you don't have a car to drive. So I was hoping hoping hoping they would be there. We called my cell phone too once we were in my apartment and didn't hear it anywhere.
We left to Tyler's to see if my phone and was there. This time leaving the apartment to unlocked so I'd be able to get back in... once again: stupid me! We have spare keys in the apartment I could have taken them.

Phone was NOT at Tyler's so we gave up on the search. I also came up with the solution that my phone was probably in my car (I knew however that my keys were not locked inside because luckily for me, my car doesn't allow me to lock it with them inside)

Time to go back to my apt. and worry about it in the morning. Presenting a challenge cuz no phone and no keys...how would I communicate with people to let them know to come get me? Or bring me my keys? BAH! This night pretty much sucked.

Tyler was tired and not looking forward to driving me back to my place and then turning around to come back to his. So he solved ALL my problems. He gave me his car :)

Yep. That pretty car he LOVES!!! I got to drive her.
It saved him a few trips of driving, and also gave me something to drive home in the morning to get my spare car keys. WONDERFUL!
So I get back to my apartment realizing church is going to be a challenge with NO alarm. (I always just use my cell phone) but oh well. Things will work out in the morning. I go in my closet and am changing and sitting right on the top of my pile of jeans is MY KEYS & MY PHONE!

Not even joking, I looked in my closet like 3 times before and didn't even see them. Wow. I'm Smart. Haha good times. good times. Wasn't all bad. I found out that as blonde as I can be, as stupid as I can be, Ty trusts me with his car :) ...then again he's been pulled over WAY more times than me and has been in more wrecks then I have so I guess in the car category, I'm one up on him.

My goal for this week: to go all week without losing my phone OR my keys...so far I'm doing really well. I'm halfway there. Woot.

Your a dork but I love you.. At least your relaxed enough to just go chill and watch a movie. I would be too stressed and not stop running around to find my stuff.

HAHAHA I'm having flashbacks. This story is hilarious and unfortunetly I'm the same way. Andrew has to tell me where my phone and keys are all the time. I never know where they are.
