Some Days.

On days like today I really just wish I was back on the beach or laying out in Hawaii.
Or... I'd happily wish myself onto the vacation my family is on right now without me.
I'd gladly be anywhere right now, but work.

Anyone else with me?

MIA.

I've been gone from the blog for a while....but part of it has been because we've been so busy.

First with my birthday.....
My parents took me to Ruby River, birthdays don't get much better than celebrating with a yummy steak.

And then Hawaii...where we had LOTS of fun!

We had a fun at the beach. We didn't get to go as much as I would have liked thanks to the rainy weather, but the time we did spend there was great!
It was really rainy while we were there so sadly I wasn't my normal picture taking self and didn't get my camera out as much as I should have, because I was too busy avoiding the rain or too embarrassed to take pictures with my awful rain-ruined hair. Luckily I did get some though. We went hiking on one of the days and were hoping to get to swim below some waterfalls, but it had been so rainy that they were overflooded and not swimmable. We missed out on seeing some too, because they had closed off a section of our hike because of all the water, but it was still really fun and BEAUTIFUL. It was probably the most gorgeous hike and drive I have ever been on.

I think Tyler's favorite part of the trip was this:

We got to drive around the island in this beautiful car. A 2011 Chevy Camaro...it was so new we were the first ones to rent it. It was lots of fun although we never really got to let it loose, because of slow speed limits and lots of traffic...it was pretty fun to peel out in though!

And then Vegas...
Leave it to us to have a random picture with a San Diego State fan. Kawai Leonard's Aunt to be exact. Even though we lost we stayed after the game and watched the trophy be presented to San Diego State and watched them cut down the net. Out of the corner of my eye I saw this lady taking candid pictures of us. I looked over at her and she just started laughing and said, "ooooh yes!" Next thing we knew it she was headed up to talk to us. As soon as she realized Nate was related to Jackson Emery she was buddied right up and wanted a picture with the boys. She told us that she is fine with losing to anyone, but BYU. It kills her to lose to BYU so I guess it was a good thing for her they won.
We had a fun day on the strip and shockingly I didn't spend a dime. I learned though not to let the husband gamble...he comes home with empty pockets!

And Denver....

Sadly my husband is on his way to Denver to watch the Cougars play right now and I didn't get to go :( Its not really easy to pick up and leave your job again after being gone a week and half! Hopefully they play hard and win so it makes me missing my husband worth it! He deserves to see a good few games!

Snorkeling

Hawaii was my first time snorkeling! I was super excited to try it and it was really fun. We went to Hanauma Bay & had a blast. There was lots & lots of really neat fish to see both big & small.

The only bad parts were that I naturally had the urge to hold my breath under the water, so if I didn't constantly tell myself to keep on breathing I would hold my breath! oops! The other bad part was when the waves would occasionally go over my head, resulting in water coming down my breathing tube...and then I'd taste nasty salt water that made me wanna gag! Luckily I didn't swallow any though!!!

And lucky for me unlike Nattie, Kev, and my Dad...I stayed sunburn free!!!

Me & My Dad getting ready to head out!
Page & Kev already snorkeling. & Nat and my Dad gettin ready to go!

Landed & Lovin' it.

It's been one crazy & long day travelin' but we're here and the weather is perfect. Couldn't be any better. Haven't done much yet. We arrived at 2:10 Hawaii time...waited forever for our rental, got some dinner & walked the beach.

Ready for take off.

View coming out of the airport.
View of the pool from our room.

Its only 8pm here but I think I'm out for the night. haha.

Peace Out from Hawaii!!!

Events from the Weekend

My weekend basically rocked.
Tyler and I went to dinner with Mitch & Chels at Costa Vida.
Then we went with them down to Tyler's parents in Santaquin and watched Sherlock Holmes on their projector screen. It was a very good movie I thought. I hadn't seen it yet and although I was exhausted it kept me awake!

Saturday I had work. Yay! ugh... but then as soon as I was off it was Seven Peaks time! woot. woot. It was my first chance to be in the sun this summer and I loved it. I was way worried about getting burned though & caked on the sunscreen, unfortunately it kept me from getting even the slightest tan. This year I bought a season pass though so will have plenty of time for more sun! Seven peaks has a great deal for passes for students so I decided it would be well worth the money to have one. (I'm looking for friends/family to come with me on my days off work...so if you're up for a day at Seven peaks...you should seriously let me know!) After a day in the sun Tyler and I saw Date Night. Date Night [Blu-ray]I was a little disappointed in it, I didn't think it was as funny as the previews had made it up to be, but still a good movie I thought.

Sunday Russ & Misty had us over for dinner, we played Uno, watched the Thunderstorm (love them.), and watched Kung Fu Panda. Tyler & I hadn't seen it and loved it. Probably the best movie of the weekend in my opinion. All in all, I had a pretty great weekend and am already waiting for the next one to be here. The weekend makes the week well worth it. Especially now that it is summer.

And in other news....

Kevin and Page celebrated their one year anniversary Sunday! I can't believe it has already been a year since this.

And my best news of all? It is OFFICIAL my friends. July 22 I will be on my way to the ever-so-fabulous Island of Hawaii. Oahu to be more specific. We booked our flight last week & I can't wait. Time for some new great swim suits & summer clothes I think!

Hawaii is a great excuse to right?

Life's Updates.

Lot has happened since I blogged last. So let me just fill you in...if you care to read.
Tyler's Birthday was on the 17th and it was fun to get to celebrate it with him. He is gettin kinda old now...haha 23...ok thats really not that old, but I remember being younger I thinking 20 was old so 23 would have been like super old! Anyways...we both worked but I managed to get off a little early...and not planned, but he got lucky (probably since it was his birthday) and they finished work early too so we got off to a nice start. I thought I'd be all thoughtful and go get some fancy cupcakes from the Sweet Toothfairy to celebrate...so I did. But we never did eat them. So that was sort of a failure. We went to dinner at Olive Garden because 1. Olive Garden is yummy and 2. Jeff works there and we LOVE Jeff. We were hoping he would get to be our server so we could leave him a juicy tip, but unfortunately his area was full. After Olive Garden we went with my friend Jaynee and her boy a Drive In movie. We saw Harry Potter...definitely NOT my choice...it was the birthday boys pick...I struggled to stay awake the entire time, but no I never did fall asleep because Tyler kept shaking me or pulling my arm out from under my head anytime I was about out. Even though I don't like Harry Potter I had a great time and hopefully it was a good birthday for him. The day following his birthday we celebrated with lots of our friends out on the lake! It was a great day for boating...not for cell phones though. Mine decided it wanted to go for a swim...but turns out cell phones don't swim. The second it hit the water it sank. Next time...I think I'll be leaving my phone in the car. Apparently purses aren't safe!
I went on my much NEEDED Vacation...It was such a blast! I don't love Disneyland as much as I used to, but still was lots of fun! It was fun to go with Nate because he is finally old enough and brave enough to go on all the rides with us! San Diego though, was my highlight. I tried boogie boarding for the first time and its so much fun. I could have done it all week!
I got sick. I got sick at the end of our trip...thanks to Nathan. My family is cursed. The last 3 vacations someone...if not everyone ends up sick. I felt horrible on Saturday coming home. I was so glad to land in Salt Lake and go home and go straight to MY bed! Now...Im STILL waiting for the day that this stupid sickness goes away...today would be day 8 of this stupid sickness. And I have a feeling it will still be here on day 9...no fun.
My greatest...newest...and most exciting news is that I'm MOVING!!! ...To a condo in Orem. I love my room at home and love my bed and love not having to pay rent, but it is a good change. I'm excited to be closer to school. I hated driving on bad roads last year and now I will only be a hop and a skip away from campus which will be nice. And I'll be closer to Tyler too :) that 25minute drive has gotten really old.
...pictures to come soon!!!
