A Word of Advice

Just a word of advice...when your Grandma just died, it doesn't matter if it's from cancer or not...Charly is not a good movie to watch if you don't want to cry your eyes out. I don't know what I was thinking, I didn't think it would be a problem since I've seen this movies numerous times and have only cried in it twice. Tyler & I watched it yesterday, he might deny it--but he chose the movie! I did cry in it, but nothing more than a few tears at first. It wasn't til the movie had basically ended that I found myself sobbing uncontrollably. Never the less, I still love this movie and the book still remains one of my all time favorites--I have a good portion of the book memorized, its pathetic. I'll just remember to never watch this movie after someone I love has just died.

Veronica Mars: The Complete First SeasonOn a happier note, I finally convinced Tyler to start another TV series with me, we love finding new shows to watch together, and I've been trying to convince him to try this one for months. I have already watched the entire series, but was more than ready to watch it again. The series is Veronica Mars. My Uncle Matt, got me hooked on it several years back at a family reunion down in St. George, and I have loved it since--sadly though, there are only 4 seasons so I am forced to watch the same ones over and over. So far his critique would be that it doesn't solve enough for him...but having watched it myself, I am trying to convince him to stick with it, because so far everything he's seen is just setting up for everything bigger to come!

Happy Birthday to Me!

So Sunday was my birthday and usually hate having my birthday on a Sunday, because it limits what I can do, but this year I was stoked. am SO busy with school and work that it was nice having it on a day where I didn't have anywhere to be other than church.

It was a great day. I went with Tyler to hear his mom speak in their family ward and then off to his single adult ward to hear his little sister, Kristin speak. Immediately following that Ty came back with me to my house for dinner. We of course, had one of my favorites, Steak. It was yummy. We just hung out for the rest of the day and relaxed. I got some great gifts from Ty and also from my family and friends. My friends who were all single and out playing on Valentines evening dedicated a photo album to me on FACEBOOK and also dropped some very STRANGE gifts off to me at 1 am on my birthday. A Mary (as in Jesus' mother) doll that talks. She tells the entire Christmas story I think and its pretty funny, the also got me a Hannah Montana t-shirt which is probably the best gift I've ever received haha... and some other very random presents. Tyler owns about 35+ watches (as of lately I think he's bought a new one almost everyday) and so surprise surprise....he finally bought me one. Its Pink! My favorite and it is super cute and along with it, a Volcom shirt...in his words...I need more boyish clothes.

I appreciated spending it with my family and Ty. I also loved that Monday was a holiday and my amazing manager aka my aunt gave me the day off to continue to celebrate my birthday. I went shopping with my mom in the morning, then to lunch with my parents at Jason's Deli, one of my favs, and then we went and bought me a new bed and tv! I'm pretty spoiled I think!!! And to top the day off we ended it with dinner at Los Hermanos with myparents, grandparents, and Ty! I am one lucky girl. Thanks everyone for making turning 20 so great!
