Going Home!

Saturday it was time to go home, but not before we had a few more visitors!
Melanie, Troy, Marisa, and Chelsey came to visit us and so did my Mom and Natalie. Natalie was having serious Nixon withdrawls on Friday night, she was really glad to be back.

I love this one...(photo cred: Chelsey)

Once the doctor came and discharged me, we got all of our stuff together and took a bunch more pictures of Nixon before leaving.

Coming home was wonderful, having Nixon with us has made us both feel like we have a piece of heaven in our home!

The End of a Chapter.

Last week we sold my Grandma and Grandpa Schaefer's home. My mom and sister were in Orem the night before so I went and met up with them to take a few photos before it closed. I didn't expect to be sad over it, but on my way to meet them and found myself crying and wasn't sure why. It was totally unexpected. I realized I have probably just as many memories in this home as I do in my own...its been in my life longer than any other house I've lived in, I even lived in it myself for a while. I realized it is also the last big part of my grandparents here, so it definitely felt like a close to their chapter.

Here are a few of the pictures we took:

Start with the Bad.

This is going to make me look like a cranky, whiney, negative vacationer. But it will make everyone feel better that they didn't go. Haha. And my next post shall be more positive.

So this is what I didn't like about HAWAII:

FLYING
Because sitting for 6 hours isn't very fun. Airplanes/Airports make feel gross and dirty. I can't wait to shower after being in them. Between the smell & the confined spaces & all the people I feel disgusting by the time I get off the plane. I also get horrible headaches when landing. Oh and last and most importantly red eye flights stink! I went to New York when I was 16 and it was the worst flight of my life. I said I would never take one ever ever again. But I did...and it stunk too this time, but luckily not quite as bad as that one. Plus, if this all isn't bad enough we almost missed our flight going home! (better going then coming though right?)

THE HUMIDITY
My hair held up pretty well, but the ends of it sure liked to go wavy. I was prepared for the worst though, because Hawaii's humidity is NOTHING compared to the East Coast. I'm still glad I live in Utah though, where it is nice & dry!

CRAB ENCOUNTERS
He might look like just a little guy now, but when your buried up in the sand and you turn your head and look over your shoulder and see him practically on your shoulder and now in your face...he's HUGE & SCARY! Luckily I lept out of the sand and booked to the ocean before he had time to attack ;] I may have lost my life to this guy.

THE WIND
Everytime we went to take a picture our hair was in our face! The Ocean Breeze feels nice but isn't so awesome on the hair. Good thing it wasn't always as bad as this pic makes it out to be.

Oh and worst of all...

COMING HOME! :[

The Infamous Pink Room

So I've been kinda known to have this VERY pink room...that everyone is asking me about...and always asking HOW pink it really is...since it puts off an entire pink glow into our yard and before or blinds were in...it reflected off the snow clear into the street...which is saying something since my room is downstairs and my window well is taller than the window itself...anyhow...I got new bedding and a new bed for my birthday way back in February and lots of people kept asking about it and/or wanting to see it. So I decided I should FINALLY share. So here it is. I love it...my pink room is a big reason I still choose to live at home. I love my room!!!
