WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY AND SAFE
(hopefully fire-free!)
4TH OF JULY!!!
I will be working for part of the day, but then Tyler and I will be celebrating by barbequing
with our friends and family!
There will be fireworks involved, but we won't be lighting them. We're leaving that job up to Lehi's fire dept.
We don't want to be responsible for anything like this...

Seven Peaks

I live for the summertime and absolutely love being in the sun, so on my day off its the number one thing I want to do if I can. This week Tyler and I took his sister's kids to Seven Peaks and my little brother and sister joined us. It was such a fun day, it made me realize how boring Tyler and I can be when we there alone. The kids made it much more fun and lively. I wish I would have taken some pictures of them in action, because they were fun to watch. Brinley was especially funny. She loved the lazy river and kept wanting to go back. Chaston was a little dare devil and kept trying to take off into the 6ft. part of the wave pool (he had a life jacket on) and he was dying to go on all the big slides and even the rope swing. Unfortunately for him he was way too short for all of it! Mccall was tall enough but she wasn't so sure she wanted to brave some of the big slides!

Brinley was really determined not to get burned. Her mom put sunscreen on her before she left. Then she wanted some on when we got there and again about an hour later, then 30 minutes later we were sitting on our towels Natalie turned to me and said, ummm Nicole...I turned around to see her legs caked in it! We had a good laugh and had to scrape a lot of it off and share it with everyone else.

The Busy Life of Nicole

This summer has so far been an interesting one for me. I feel like I gave up my life back in April and my whole life consists of work. Its not that I'm working a long amount of hours. I think I'm averaging about 42 a week, but whats killing me is the hours that I do work. Let me start by saying I actually really do love my job. I work with a fun group of girls, in a great office with great owners and staff, however being available to work between 8:30am and 10pm makes it really difficult to plan much of anything. I think Tyler and I will probably run out of friends soon considering how many people we've turned down for things like BBQ's, movies, and all things summer because of my hours and did I mention I get to work the 4th of July? Awesome. The one upside to it all, is that Tyler is available in the day so we still find plenty of time to go do stuff together and make it so I can still have a little taste of summer. So far we've spent a few hours at 7 peaks and last week we went to the home opener Owlz game and I'm hoping to do a lot more fun stuff this week, because I work not only 1 early day this week but 2 and have my day off to play on top of that. I can't wait. Working the hours I work sure make me grateful for whatever time I get!!! I basically live for Sunday's because its the one day a week I know I always have. Yesterday was a particularly good Sunday. We went over to Misty and Russ's and played with cute little Bryce and then went to a get together for my cousin Brett's birthday. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed time with family, as always!

Boating.

This year we've gone boating more than we have in years past. Last Saturday we went with Russ & Misty to Mona Reservoir. The water out there is like glass, because there aren't many boats out there at all. In fact, the whole time we were there, there was only one other boat on the water. Tyler had the best day on the wakeboard I've ever seen him have.

Some more Adventures.

We haven't been with all the Taylor family (my Grandma's family) in years! It was so fun to finally get together and see everyone!

July Adventures.

This  month I have felt like it was completely impossible to find time to blog, but here I finally am.
The business really all started the last week of June. So busy in fact, my mother didn't even get a birthday blog post (sooo sorry Mom.) We did start the week off though, by celebrating with her at Olive Garden.
Then of course their was the 4th of July weekend...Friday we had my grandma and grandpa's annual 4th of July BBQ.
Saturday we spent the day on the lake with Tyler's parents and Misty & Russ. We went to Mona Reservoir since its so close to Hunsaker's home. It was fun and much less crowded than Utah Lake! Saturday night we went and watched fireworks with Chelsey, Mitch, Russ, and Misty.
There aren't any docks so Tyler had to walk out to the boat...he was freaking out because the water was so cold.
Tyler showing off his wake boarding skills. I will be able to do this...one day!
The group on the boat...minus Kirk and Kim.
Russ and Misty watching the fireworks.
Tyler and I enjoying the show!
Me & Misty.
(I realized later that I didn't get any of Chelsey and Mitch! My bad!)
This was one of the funniest moments of the night. Tyler was sitting in a camp chair and suddenly we all heard him say whoooa whooa...and ended up on the ground in a bunch of weeds.

Sunday we had a going away party for Jeff since he moved back to Vegas to live with him mom. So sad Tyler and I didn't get a picture with him before he left. We were planning on taking one and then forgot :( but I did manage to get one with Jaynee and Cameron who are also moving away very soon!
Monday we woke up nice and early and went to the 4th of July parade, hit up 7peaks, then a movie, then a Neighborhood BBQ followed by fireworks! It was a Busy and VERY FUN 4th.
The 2nd week of July we went to Arizona for my cousin Emilee's Wedding. We were sooo glad we could be there for her and as always, it was great seeing family! Tyler's not sure he ever wants to go back to the crazy heat though!!! He was happy to come home!
On the plane on the way down.
In the car on the way to the temple!
Us at the Mesa Temple. I was planning on getting a picture where you can actually see that its the temple but after walking to the car to get the camera I decided I was done with the heat and it wasn't worth going back out in the shade, so we just snapped one in the shade.
Me & the Pops at the airport ready to come home!
Our plane got delayed several hours so we all showed how thrilled we were. We were even more thrilled at 2am when we finally got home! ...should have seen our faces then!

The 3rd week of July was full of lots of fun too. We went to an owls game for FHE with Russ and Misty. Then on Saturday we went to Wyoming for the Hunsaker Family Reunion. It was fun to get to meet Tyler's Grandma Hunsaker for the first time! Saturday night we decided to camp overnight and had lots of fun doing it.

We played minute to win it and Russ got to do the Rump Shaker.
Jack was super cute eating this popsicle & he loved it!!!
Our family with Grandma Isabelle.

Sunday was Tyler's BIRTHDAY and we spent half of it in the car driving home. We did go by his Grandma's barn before we headed home. It was a pretty low key day, once we were home he opened his presents and had his favorite Magelby's chocolate cake! Well...he had cake, I just watched him blow out all 25 candles!
Tyler has been looking at this forever...so I bought I gave it to him!

....This post really could go on forever, but since I already feel like this post was overkill I think it will save some fore next time! Needless to say, we've been busy!

New Posts...Coming Soon!

We've gone on lots of fun adventures lately...so my next post is a rather large one and has taken me a while to put together and since I feel guilty for not blogging more frequently, I decided I'd share a little preview of whats to come! (...Lisa you can stop complaining now. haha)
