Yes, I am Amazing

So I'm rather proud of myself, I have not lost my phone or keys in quite some time now! It is great. I have had my new phone almost 2 months and haven't dropped it or anything! Its in perfect shape. (Knock On Wood!)

My AWESOME EnV Touch

I also happen to love my new phone! Isn't it beautiful? I guess losing, breaking, and trading in my previous phones wasn't such a bad thing after all, because I sure do like this baby. I should advertise for Verizon...I would definitely sell this phone, because it is fantastic! My only complaint is that it once unlocked itself and called someone, someone I hardly even know and it was kinda embarrassing! oops. Oh well, I'm over it, the kid probably just thought I was a strange one.

Hitting the Mark

Our first picture together :)
(crappy picture of me...but it is what it is. Ty looks great! oh...and the outfit...it was halloween. Ty did not participate in the fam party. lol...just picked me up. Hence no outfit for him.)

One year…and only one word comes to mind to describe it… WOW.
Yes, wow is right!
For one…I didn’t know that anyone could put up with me for a year.
Here is what Tyler has dealt with in just the last few weeks…
Me locking myself out of my apartment.
Me forgetting stuff that we need for school.
Me loosing my keys.
…oh and if seeing me every night and dealing with my stupid moments then isn’t enough…we’re now in school together. 4 classes of ME! ya, me and school are not friends so if you see him you should tell him good luck because I wouldn’t want to be at school with me! I’m sure glad he is though because he makes class lots better. I never knew how funny he was til I heard all the stuff he says under his breath in class. He’s a crack up ….anyway back to the subject.
… just last night I locked myself out AGAIN. And the worst part is I didn’t even leave my doorstep.
I KNOW I test his patience… I think I test my own patience so I just am glad he is still around.
Technically we haven’t been together for a whole year…I met Tyler a year ago today but I figure it counts…because once I met him and I knew I liked him…and I spent lots of time with him from there on out.
So here is our story…
First of all…Tyler’s friend/roomie just so happened to know my friend which was awesome because I don’t think we would have met otherwise…even though our friends didn’t do any of the work.
So September 8, 2008 is the first time we hung out. And it was a rather random night.
I had talked to Tyler for all of 5 minutes…if that and his friend’s dad came downstairs (his apartment was in his friends basement.) and asked if Ty would come help him give the friend a blessing. So he did just that. It was SO awkward for me cuz I didn’t really know Tyler and now I was going to go sit in on a blessing for some kid I didn’t know at all with his family. Very uncomfortable…and SO random!
Anyhow once that awkwardness was over we went back downstairs and talked for a bit. His friend later joined and I pretty much was booted from the conversation. They served in the same mission and started going on and on about the mission and sharing mission stories. I’m not even lying. It was kinda funny really. Kind of unusual first hang out but it was funny. I had a good laugh.
Now you all are probably wondering why on earth I came back? Too be honest I’m not really sure why. Lol. But something about him was just fun and full of life so I did.
Why he wanted to see me again? This is still unknown to me…because according to him I gave him the most pathetic “dead fish hug” ever when I left…but let’s face it…he was doing good to get a hug since he had been giving priesthood blessings and talking up the mish. A missionary handshake may have been more appropriate…lol. In spite of all the randomness though, I started hanging out with him more and more. The second hang out was Way Fun I thought. And he didn’t go off about the mission at all. We stuck to frozen yogurt from Spoon Me, a nice chat, a jam session is his car with his buds, and pizza, and a movie. (ok, I lied he did talk about the mission a little, but it was short and sweet.) The first date was a week from our first hang out and it was super awesome. Took me to my favorite place to eat….brownie points for him…and from then on out…we just kept on dating. ☺
Thanks for a great year Tyler!!!

Love you.

PS…he scored more brownie points tonight, because he got me the cutest 80’s tshirt at the Blink 182 concert. He’s awesome!

A Blonde Moment

So I'm REALLY good at forgetting things...and even BETTER at losing things.
Saturday night, was no exceptions. I did a pretty good job at both.

The day started out with no incidents... work meeting, cleaning, shopping trip with Tyler & Nate & then back to my place to get ready for the REAL Salt Lake game. I should have known that the day was too good to be true.
We left my place in Orem and were to about AF when I realized I didn't have my phone.

Then again, come to think of it...I didn't remember hating it at my apt. so if not in my purse must have left it at Tyler's, since that was the last place I used it.
Oh well. No big deal.

We went to the game and had an ok time. Nobody scored so the game wasn't too exciting, but whatev....Then the trouble began!

We got back to Orem and planned to go to my apartment and watch a movie.

We got back and I realized I had no keys. oh great.

Then I remembered my purse tipped over at the game. I THOUGHT that my sunglasses were the only thing that fell out, but what if my keys fell out too??? That would mean not only am I locked out of my apartment. It also means I'm locked out of my car, oh yeah! and I don't have a phone to call my roommate.

I was so frustrated at this point, not knowingwhere EITHER item was!
Then there is Tyler...just sitting there shaking his head at me. I'm pretty sure he found this whole thing funny. His words exactly... "you'd lose your head Nicole if it wasn't attached."
Funny thing is its probably true. I would lose it.

I set things down anywhere and everywhere and I do it unconsciously and never have the slighest clue or memory where they could be.
Needless to say we gave up on the lost items and figured we'd deal with the lost items LATER
(keep in mind its already after 10) We ventured to Walmart to buy a movie and figured we'd go to Tyler's apartment instead to watch the movie. Which is what we did.
Tyler's apartment ended up being a story of its own...but I will save that for later.
By the time our movie was over it was 1 am and still no keys or phone.

Needless to say we ended up breaking into my apartment. My roommate was there but asleep...Tylers idea: Knock on her window and wake her. My thought: Heck no. That would only scare her.

Even though I'd end up looking stupid for locking my keys inside, that was the result I was hoping for. Otherwise I'd be going home for my extra car key but getting home is a challenge when you don't have a car to drive. So I was hoping hoping hoping they would be there. We called my cell phone too once we were in my apartment and didn't hear it anywhere.
We left to Tyler's to see if my phone and was there. This time leaving the apartment to unlocked so I'd be able to get back in... once again: stupid me! We have spare keys in the apartment I could have taken them.

Phone was NOT at Tyler's so we gave up on the search. I also came up with the solution that my phone was probably in my car (I knew however that my keys were not locked inside because luckily for me, my car doesn't allow me to lock it with them inside)

Time to go back to my apt. and worry about it in the morning. Presenting a challenge cuz no phone and no keys...how would I communicate with people to let them know to come get me? Or bring me my keys? BAH! This night pretty much sucked.

Tyler was tired and not looking forward to driving me back to my place and then turning around to come back to his. So he solved ALL my problems. He gave me his car :)

Yep. That pretty car he LOVES!!! I got to drive her.
It saved him a few trips of driving, and also gave me something to drive home in the morning to get my spare car keys. WONDERFUL!
So I get back to my apartment realizing church is going to be a challenge with NO alarm. (I always just use my cell phone) but oh well. Things will work out in the morning. I go in my closet and am changing and sitting right on the top of my pile of jeans is MY KEYS & MY PHONE!

Not even joking, I looked in my closet like 3 times before and didn't even see them. Wow. I'm Smart. Haha good times. good times. Wasn't all bad. I found out that as blonde as I can be, as stupid as I can be, Ty trusts me with his car :) ...then again he's been pulled over WAY more times than me and has been in more wrecks then I have so I guess in the car category, I'm one up on him.

My goal for this week: to go all week without losing my phone OR my keys...so far I'm doing really well. I'm halfway there. Woot.
