The fun began Wednesday when we woke up bright and early and rushed to Cars Land to see what all the hype was about. We were in the park 15 minutes before opening and couldn't believe the crowd. They had it gated off so you couldn't get to Cars Land until 8, so we waited in a mass of people and then as soon as it opened we took off to the Radiator Springs Raceway. We didn't really have an actual wait, but it took 10 minutes or so just to walk through the line (tells you how crazy packed it gets). It was a very fun ride, and its crazy how well Disney pays attention to detail. Its no wonder kids believe its all real...it practically is!
I was pretty annoyed that Disneyland doesn't make Suburban size race cars...I mean lets get realistic Disneyland...lots of Mormons visit Disneyland. The least you can do is make sure there is a car to fit the whole family so the parentals don't get kicked to the curb.
Waiting in the line at Luigi's Flying Tires
Our tire group, we were smart at let the skinny little guy come with us. It worked to our benefit. These things are NOT meant to seat 3 people, and yet they do anyway. It was a definite squeeze!
These poor kids got stuck, after waiting 50 minutes in line for this less than exciting line...for us, this made the ride worth it...but for them probably not so much. They were leaning every which way (thats how you move these so called bumper cars) and it got them absolutely nowhere, but don't worry we made sure to make it there way and point, laugh, and snap pictures.
For those of you who know my Dad, know he hates Disneyland. Then again, his ideal vacation is going to a ranch in the middle of know where... preferably in Montana. Anywho, Soaring Over California is what apparently keeps his Disneyland sanity, although this picture clearly says otherwise...
In all honesty, the crowds really weren't bad at all, but our iphones sure helped the time pass by.
